NOVOgen is originally French genetics, which Verbeek has been selling in the market for 12 years. NOVOgen is known for a sophisticated selection programme, allowing a quick response to market demands. The NOVOgen hen is calm and correct in handling, as the wishes for hens in aviary housing systems are recognised early on in breeding. This also makes the hen very successful in organic poultry farming.
With the choice of four lines, Verbeek offers a hen that suits everyone's wishes and objective of the poultry farmer. The four lines consist of NOVOgen White, NOVOgen White Light, NOVOgen Brown and NOVOgen Brown light. Hereby, NOVOgen White light and NOVOgen Brown light also offer an option for organic poultry farmers. The mother birds are kept according to organic guidelines.
